Lab #17

He did not believe in the economic policy of the Barack Obama before I tried to communicate with him. I argued about Mr. Obama's potentials, and what he has planned for the future, were he to win the presidential election. He's a stubborn ox, but after 1 - 2 hours, I finally proved it. Barack has a history of success, and should not fail now, whether it's political or economic plan for his term(s) in the office.

In my opinion, the United States could be both democracy and plutocracy. As everyone knows, the United States of America is the first and one of the most democratic countries in the world. Therefore, without a doubt, the US is certainly a democracy. American people vote for the president and other leaders, they also have the rights to express their thoughts and what they think politically. But according to the saying of one of the most respected political commentator in his generation, he stated and argued that the United States of America is a plutocracy in which there has been "the fusion of money and government." For example, the presidential election in 2008, because of the campaigns, activities and other expenses, who got more money, who got better chance to win.

Escaping from my cell phone for 24 hours is not very easy. I'm used to frequently checking the time, seeing if I have any missed calls, calling my mom. I have to say, it was kind of weird not having my phone. I freaked out like 2 times, because I thought I had lost it. :P Pretty crazy. I even gave it a little hug after the 24 hours.

So, my mom got me and my family into this German club. It includes many German immigrants that seek to keep their culture alive while still living in America. Anyway, I went there to make a statement about global warming.

In German: "Hallo!

Translated to English: "Hello! Many still know me from last time, when my family came here for the Christmas party. My name's obi. Anyway, those that are not aware, terrible things are happening to our world. Global warming is currently active in many places around the world. I want to make sure everyone's aware of this, and that you are doing everything to prohibit the further spread of the global warming. There are many things that we can do. The biggest is recycling recyclable items, and conserving water. Thank you for your time."

Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment in New York a few weeks ago. Ledger's death made the front page of some of the most important media, from newpapers to televisions. The Iraqi people died everyday in the war, the media sometimes even ignore it. Here's the death ratios chart I made to show how people's deaths worth in the news.

1 Celebrity = 20 White Americans = 40 Europeans = 60 Latin Americans = 100 Asians = 140 Minoroty Americans = 200 Africans = 500 Iraqis
